Founded by a board-certified practicing physician from Houston, Texas in December 2025, Relax & Paint has a mission to offer a quiet, creative activity for the mind to unwind and decompress.

Dr. Stacey Wells, owner and founder of Relax and Paint, was once a customer engaging in the hobby of paint by number to help with the mental burnout of working long hours in Houston's busy hospitals. One summer, while her children were out of school for break and in need of a device-free activity, she scoured the internet to find paint-by-number kits with culturally relevant images that resonated with her and her family. She could not find any. Not one.

So she decided to create her own. And thus, Relax & Paint was born.
